NOVEL: MAD HORSES

In 2004, Gary wrote the critically-acclaimed eco-thriller MAD HORSES of Matheran.

A one hundred million-dollar multinational takeover of Matheran, India’s last roadless hill station, has a cancerous problem: Because of non-stop transportation delays, sluggish construction is dooming the wellness center. Their solution? Construct a temporary road. But protestors shut it down, vowing “if Matheran has horses…cars, trucks and a road will never be allowed.”

Ultimately, the foreigners will either go bankrupt or scare the villagers into temporarily moving the hill station's five hundred horses to the valley.

So they bring horse encephalitis, and feed it to three maltreated, dying horses. The horses' brains swell, and they quickly go mad.

A one-legged Tiger Hill war hero will have to make a last stand.

After two sold-out Indian printings of MAD HORSES of Matheran, Gary is coming out with an International Edition to be listed on Kindle.

What makes the novel unique, is that it is comprised of over seventy short chapters that are, as the critics testify, “fast-paced entertainment.”

Gary performs chapters from the novel, touring India with his Mad Horses. The troupe doesn’t use a standard set, just paintings or screen photos/graphics and usually a chair and desk. This makes the Mad Horses India’s most flexible theatre experience: Performing everywhere from mainstage to college festivals and bookstores. Gary customarily initiates the shows with his standup comedy.
